Son of Hokkons Baules pleads guilty to overstaying visa in Fiji

The son of Palau Senate president Hokkons Baules, has pleaded guilty to overstaying his visitor’s permit by seven days.

Logamaisino Baules appeared alongside Josua Ravula, Yu Yang Fang, Minghui Dai, Zhou Lan, and Peniasi Ganilau Delai and Ginna Choi before Senior Magistrate Sufia Hamza.

Mr Baules entered a guilty plea to a count of prohibited immigrant contrary to section 13(1)(a)(b) and 2(a) of the Immigration Act 2003.

It is alleged that between September 3, 2025 and the September 16, 2025 at Suva in the Central Division, whilst being a visitor to Fiji, failed to comply with the visitor’s visa terms and overstayed his visitors permit for a period of 7 days and in so doing, was unlawfully present in Fiji as a prohibited immigrant.

The summary of facts will be read this Friday.

He is also facing a count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs alongside Mr Delai and Ms Choi.

All seven remain in custody, with the matter adjourned to February 27.
