MOMENTS that will forever be treasured by former Ba Football player Shalen Lal, as he reminisced about his 11-year journey with the club.
Making a remarkable 11 appearances at the Battle of the Giants (BOG), Lal reached an impressive six finals and proudly secured the title five times during his tenure.
Now aged 42 and currently a dedicated teacher at Arya Kanya Pathshala Primary School in Yalalevu, Ba, Lal fondly reflected on his transformation from a young football enthusiast to a steadfast player for Ba FC.
One of his most cherished memories involved the 2009 BOG final against Lautoka, where he played a crucial role in assisting the winning goal scored by the talented striker, Osea Vakatalesau.
Lal credited his achievements on the field to his commitment to intense fitness training and a disciplined lifestyle.
“The level of fitness training back in the day was above the bar, always with our personal training and commitment towards football being our first priority.”
