Update: 12:45PM THE 2015 National Football League season will kick-off on January 24.
Fiji Football Association’s competitions manager, Amitesh Pal said the decision on the starting date was made after consultation with league sponsors CJ Patel Group of Companies.
“Initially the league was scheduled to start on January 10 and with respect to the sudden death of CJ Patels managing director Sandip Patel it was deferred,” he said.
Pal also urged district teams to start preparing for the competition, saying the draws for the opening three rounds of competition league will be released soon.
Suva is the defending champion of the national league.
