SMS alerts for members

THE Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF), as part of the fund’s Go Digital strategy, will introduce a short message services (SMS) alert to notify members of the status of their withdrawal applications.

FNPF’s chief operating officer Jaoji Koroi said they were exploring all technology platforms to enhance accessibility and improve services to members.

“We believe that this new free service will ease the engagement process for our members as they no longer have to follow up on their payment with us,” he said.

This new free service will see members being sent a SMS by the fund on the three local networks — Vodafone, Inkk and Digicel.

To access the free service, members are required to register their mobile phone numbers while lodging their withdrawal applications and once the application payment is processed, FNPF will send a SMS text message to the member.

The fund offers MyFNPF Mobile App, MyFNPF Member Self Service Portal and MyFund *567# Service for members to check their accounts.
