SKIPPER Cup winning coach Rupeni Nasiga will mentor the Skipper XV Select side that will face the Fijian Drua on February 6, 2026, at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The fixture brings together top talents from provincial unions across the country, promising to showcase depth, skill and passion.

This is an ample opportunity for provincial players to test and align themselves with the standards required for Super Rugby.

2024 Deans winner and former Queen Victoria School under-18 captain Anare Tabakaucoro has been named in the squad and is the only representative from the Tailevu Rugby Union.

Nasiga has named six players from his winning side including Isaia Rugu, Aminiasi Naituyaga, Joseva Tamata, Esala Nalobo, Tomasi Tawake and Douglas Daveta.

From the Suva rugby team, fullback Ponipate Tuberi is in the squad alongside Onisimo Nawalu, Nadidi Taginiselala, Josefa Nasaroa and Joeli Nainoca.

Aisake Atani, Nedley Grant, Malikeli Matanisiga, Sakiusa Vosayaco and Meli Buinimasi are the Nadroga players in the 30-member squad.

Naitasiri is represented by hooker Seremaia Komailevuka, Michael Ferei, Marika Natau, Ro Kaveni Seru, Napolioni Batimala, Etonia Rokotuisawa, Iliesa Bete and winger Sakaraia Sokonakalou.

Towering lock Isaia Lotawa from Ba rugby, Macuata number 8 Ravuama Tuimacou and Lautoka inside centre Apimeleki Nasalo have also secured their spots.
