FIJI Ports Corporation Ltd welcomed several cruise liners on their maiden calls to Fiji in the first quarter of this year.
Fiji Ports in a statement highlighted that among those cruise liners was the Discovery Princess which arrived on January 8, followed by the MSC Magnifica on February 21.
Fiji Ports said the most recent one was the Queen Anne which arrived on March 23.
The corporation said the inaugural visit highlighted Fiji’s growing appeal as a premier cruise destination in the Pacific, attracting world-class vessels and international visitors to Fiji’s shores.
Each maiden voyage represents not only a milestone for the cruise operators but also an opportunity to showcase Fiji’s rich culture, warm hospitality, and vibrant tourism offerings.
Fiji Ports said it remained committed to providing safe, efficient, and welcoming port services, ensuring that every vessel’s first call and every visit, thereafter, was a memorable experience for passengers and crew alike.
According to the Fiji Ports Terminal Limited’s monthly vessel schedule, seven cruise ships called into Suva port in March.
