Aiming to improve on key areas identified in their 21-5 victory over Marist Brothers High School is something the Suva Grammar School under-16 team will work on before the national quarter-finals of the Vodafone Deans competition this week.
These were the sentiments of team manager Ana Leano following the presentation of their trophy at Buckhurst Park in Suva on Saturday, July 26.
“We will just continue to work on areas, I believe our coaches know the areas in which they will work on,” Leano said.
“For us, we’ll continue to play our role, our part to continue to be with them and support them all the way.”
With their defeated opponents also gaining a national quarter-final ticket as well, she acknowledged them for the tough opposition shown.
“We thank them for the good game that they gave us today (Saturday),” she said.
For the young victors from Veiuto, she also acknowledged them for the results achieved on the field at Bidesi Park.
“They did their best, they did great even though they did not really put on their full effort in the first half, but they managed to pull up in the second half,” she mentioned.
The massive turnout of Grammar supporters, old scholars and students was also commended by Leano.
