Several people were injured this morning in an accident involving two buses in Rakiraki.
The accident took place at the Nokonoko junction, just past the Namuimada village around 5:30am today.
The collision caused both the buses to veer off the main highway.
An Energy Fiji Limited power pole was also broken due to the impact.
National Fire Authority officers responded to the accident.
Several people were injured, with one driver sustaining serious head injuries.
Police are investigating the incident.
