The world president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ted Wilson, was in Fiji last week to take part in two groundbreaking ceremonies for two new Adventist education facilities.
At Fulton Adventist University College in Sabeto, he officiated at the start of construction of a new chapel that is expected to accommodate up to 550 people.
Mr Wilson also visited the Lautoka Adventist Primary School that is embarking on a new high school project.
“A Seventh-day Adventist high school will be located right here by God’s grace,” Mr Wilson said.
“May God bless this construction project.”
On Saturday last week he preached at the SDA Fiji Church gathering at Churchill Park in front of 12,000 churchgoers.
“I must commend Fiji for a well-organised and attended combined service. Often the momentum drops, but the programs were engaging all day,” said South Pacific Division general secretary Pastor Mike Sikuri.
Mr Wilson had visited Papua New Guinea and Tonga before coming to Fiji.
