Olympic Games bronze medallist Ana Maria Roqica said senior players had huge responsibilities in setting examples to the younger Fijiana 15s players.
The former Fijiana 7s captain said they had to be on time in everything, especially on the ground when preparing for training.
“We have to show a good rugby player during training so that junior girls can look up to us that we are doing well and they will do well to doing that,” she said.
She said France would be hard to beat tomorrow.
“We can do it this week. I’m looking forward to the game against France. I had to give my best during training sessions because the coaches will select from the training sessions.”
Meanwhile, Bitila Tawake, who will start from the bench said the team had settled in well.
“It’s a bit colder than open city and the team is getting together and getting ready for next game against France, it’s really big,” she said.
“We need to win this game to qualify for the quarters. For our team, we’re just getting more clarity and getting the little things right on and off the field, so we could get that game plan ready for Saturday and this is huge for myself.
“This has to be one of my biggest careers, and having to be part of this team is huge and getting this experience is big for myself.”
