The fate of Commissioner Northern Uraia Rainima is not known yet.
Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Mosese Bulitavu said Mr Rainima was admitted and discharged from hospital, but it is unknown whether he will return to his post.
“He still has a lot to offer the Northern Division and the work he wishes to complete, along with the vision he set forth when he assumed office,” he said.
For the divisional planning officer post, he said a staff member was holding the post but in an acting capacity.
“We leave that to the responsible authorities.”
