A HUGE load off our shoulders is how Biu Colati, the vice-president of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union, described yesterday’s confirmation of the HFC Bank Stadium for the Vodafone
Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve semifinals this Saturday.
Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka was initially announced to be the venue of the semi-finals however the great demand of matches in all grades prompted officials to explore other viable options on
offer.
In an interview with Times Sports yesterday, Colati highlighted the key points driving competition officials to secure the semi-final venue.
“The following of the Deans competition is so big and the change in venues and the moving of the game from location to location is also a massive part,” Colati explained. “That was also really draining as far as Fiji Secondary Schools officials are concerned so when this venue was confirmed in Suva, it’s almost like a huge load off our shoulders so we are really, really delighted.”
