A 5.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Ono-i-Lau region today.
The earthquake occurred at 10.11am.
According to the Seismology Unit of the Mineral Resources Department, the seismic activity was located 331km South-southwest from Ono-i-Lau, 596km South-southeast from Navua, and 716km South-southeast from Suva.
The department said the moderate earthquake with 684km deep depth did not pose any immediate tsunami threat to the region.
