The Pacific Regional and National Security Conference wrapped up in Suva on Wednesday night with a closing ceremony and cocktail, marking the end of a high-stakes week of dialogue on regional peace, stability and cooperation.
Held against the backdrop of growing climate threats, geopolitical tensions, and transnational crime, the meeting brought together heads of government, military leaders, academics and civil society groups from across the region.
This year’s conference proved vital in forging shared solutions, with leaders calling for deeper collaboration, cultural grounding, and strengthened security institutions.
The conference concluded with renewed urgency to uphold the Boe Declaration and the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent.
