French rugby league club SO Avignon XIII welcomes Pio Seci to the club.
The 28-year-old told soavignon.com, that he wanted to see the French playing structure inorder to adapt to their playing style.
“I’ve been playing rugby since I was 12,” he said. “I started with the Broncos in Nabua, Fiji. This season, I played for the Kaiviti Silktails, which played in the Ron Massey Cup competition in Australia,” the Taveuni flyer said.
Seci was part of the Suva Primary Schools Rugby Union Kaji team (Milo Kaji competition) and made his international debut for Fiji Bati in 2016 and a member of the Rugby League World Cup squad in 2017.
“I want to continue to learn and become a better player, on and off the pitch, adapting to the French playing system. Helping my family at home, and helping and supporting young people in my region.
“Professionally, I want to have a professional contract in Super League or NRL and represent my country at the next Rugby League World Cup.
He said he wanted to bring energy and positive vibes to his club team and help them win a final and bring a title back to Avignon.
