Fiji Bati rep Pio Seci continues to go from strength to strength in the French Elite rugby league competition.

He scored his fifth try in as many matches for SO Avignon. Sporting Olympique Avignon, also known as Avignon XIII or SO Avignon, is a semi-professional rugby league team based in Avignon in the south of France.

They are playing in the Elite One Championship.

The club was formed in 1916. Avignon were big winners over Villinueve 46-6 in the French Elite XVIII with Seci scoring a try for his team. Born in Suva, Seci grew up in Nabua.

He started playing for Nabua Broncos Rugby Club age group division at the age of 12. He attended St Agnes Primary School and Queen Victoria School before earning a scholarship to Good Counsel College in Innisfail.

In 2016, Seci made his international debut for Fiji, coming off the interchange in their 20-18 victory over Samoa in Apia.

In 2017, he was named in the Fiji Bati Squad for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

While playing for the Silktails, Seci signed a deal with French Rugby League Club, SO Avignon XIII.

Adapting to the new French environment, Seci continues to keep his fitness and strength as per his club expectations.
