Listen to this article:

Schools have reopened in the Northern Division and civil servants have returned to work today.

The Ministry of Education in consultation with NDMO has advised students, teachers, parents, and guardians that all schools in the North will be open from today.

Except for Shri Guru Nanak Primary and Secondary School, the ministry stated only teachers would be reporting to school and students of these two schools will remain at home.

It said it would be keeping a close watch on the weather patterns.

“Should any adverse weather conditions arise, the Ministry in consultation with the National Disaster Management Office, will issue another statement. The Ministry of Education also wishes to remind teachers to play their part in providing the necessary support when students return to school,” the ministry stated.
