RATU Sukuna Memorial School has a new way of attaining sports excellence.

Yesterday, during its inter-house competition at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, the school introduced a theme to help inspire students and athletes to gain excellence in sports.

This saw the athletes giving their best in track and field events at the Laucala Bay sports complex.

They abided by their inter-house competition theme as ‘Faster, Further and Higher’ to boost them in athletics competitions.

RSMS head of the PEMAC Department, Jane Danford said the theme would help get discipline on and off the field and help in sporting wins.

“We started last week in school with our field events,” Danford said.

“We are using the points system in our inter-house competition and that covers the training for athletes, and also consistency before the main events.

“We have some new talents and they’ve proven that they have what it takes to compete in the zone and Coca-Cola Games.”
