FROM next week all schoolchildren will be going on a vacation for seven weeks.
While I relish and recall those young days of mine, I also now, with urgency, feel that a lot more caution should be taken by parents for the safety of their children.
Besides, as we are approaching the festivities, we need to keep a closer look on our children.
While parents may have to juggle their time with their daily chores and having energetic children around, on the other hand, they need to practise extra care at all times. For children will be children and we need to allow them to enjoy their holidays.
I wish every child a happy holiday. Live life to the fullest for these vibrant days will never return.
Only now I think back and savour the very thought of being young again.
