Vunimono High School head boy Anishchal Chand Sharma earned the school’s top academic honour after scoring 377 out of 400 in his exam.
Anishchal said his achievement was a result of faith, hard work and the support of those around him.
“Nothing is possible without the Almighty, my parent’s, relatives and friends were my backbone throughout the year,” he said.
Anishchal said the achievement was not easy, but the long nights and sacrifice finally paid off.
He said balancing his duties as head boy with exam preparation was challenging but being focused helped him achieve his goal.
His mother, Mala Wati Kumar, said she was proud of his dedication and determination.
She said Anishchal was always committed to his studies. Seeing him receive the dux award makes all the sacrifices worthwhile.
