Scholarship scheme announced

Scholarships will be available under the National Toppers Local Scholarship Scheme in 2022 for Year 13 students, the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service has announced.

The highest number of 100 scholarships would be awarded in the field of Commerce where students had to attain a score of 340/400 in Year 13 where a pass in English and Mathematics, Accounting and Economics was compulsory.

Another 90 scholarships would be for Medical and Engineering Studies where 340/400 in Year 13 was the pass rate entry for medical studies and 330/400 for engineering.

Studies in Education had 50 scholarships allocated with a pass rate of 300/400 in Year 13 where students could take up courses in Mathematics and Physics, Industrial Arts and Office Technology.

Thirty-five scholarships would be for Technology students with scores of 330/400 in Year 13, and passes in English and Mathematics were compulsory.

In addition, 30 scholarships would be available for studies in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests and Environment/Marine Science.

Land and Town Planning studies had 20 scholarships allocated with a pass rate of 320/400 in Year 13.
