Update: 2:15PM THE Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Board is still processing and finalising scholarships under the National Toppers Scheme.
Board chairman Dixon Seeto said his office was hoping to finalise the names of the top 600 students who qualify under the Toppers Scheme.
“We hope to give out 600 people who qualify with the right marks and in the preferred area of study soon,” he said.
Mr Seeto said with the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme, work was still progressing as it was more complicated.
“The loan scheme which is TELS, we are processing quite a number of people who qualify with the right mark and are subject to their acceptance by the institution as well.”
Mr Seeto said for the loans, the cut-off mark was high because of the limited number of spaces available in the universities.
