FORMER national rep Viliame Satala successfully led his Water Authority team to defend the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s OIdies tournament at Prince Charles Park yesterday.
Satala combined perfectly with other former reps such as Sainivalati Vunibola, Manueli Tiko and Saula Rabaka to secure a hard fought 12-0 win over Big Bula in the final.
These former reps though have lost the pace but still possess wonderful rugby skills that entertained the thousands of fans.
The ‘no look’ and back passes were once again witnessed from these rugby legends making this year’s event a memorable one.
Nawaka rugby president Jioji Konisi said the presence of these former reps boosted the event.
He said these players had made a name for themselves in Fiji and it was appropriate to give them the opportunity to showcase some of their trademark play.
Other big names that turned out for the Oldies are Sireli Naqelevuki, Lalai Driu and, Sailosi Nawavu.
