Fiji Airways cancelled its Flight FJ871, that was scheduled to depart from San Francisco (SFO) on Tuesday for Nadi.
The airline stated this was due to a mechanical issue identified during pre-departure procedures.
“Despite the airline’s best efforts, it has not been possible to resolve this, fully and the decision has been taken to recover the service using a second aircraft that will fly up to San Francisco this evening (Thursday),” said the statement.
“All affected passengers have been reallocated to a supplementary flight or alternative travel arrangements to ensure they reach their destinations as soon as possible.”
