Salma Hayek doesn’t find happiness through success or money, but through her family.
The actress, who turns 50 this September (16), is arguably one of the sexiest actresses in Hollywood and is consistently adding to her already prolific portfolio of jobs.
But while she knows how lucky she is to have made a name for herself in the movie industry, Salma insists that it’s her family — husband Francois-henri Pinault, daughter Valentina and her three stepchildren — that make her the happiest.
“It’s not success in this or in that, or money or things, or beauty,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “What if you’re really beautiful and you’re not loved? That’s not gonna make you happy. But what makes you happy is, for me, my family. They are the biggest blessing I have.”
Valentina turns nine in September (16), and Salma’s youngest stepchild is also nine. But while her brood is growing up fast, the actress isn’t planning to add to her family anytime soon.
“I’m very blessed because I have three stepchildren, so I have a family of four kids,” she smiled. “Four is enough.”
Mexican-American star Salma frequently shows off her incredible figure on the red carpet at industry events, with the most recent being at the premiere of new movie Septembers of Shiraz on Tuesday night (21Jun16).
However, while she regularly tops best dressed lists, Salma insists she suffers with image struggles like any other woman.
