Update: 11:00AM FIJI table tennis ace and Jai Narayan College student Sally Yee qualified for the Rio Olympics last night.
“Sally Yee has qualified for the Rio Olympics, making her the first Fiji and Pacific Islander to directly qualify,” Fiji Table Tennis Association president Anthony Ho said in an email.
The 14-year-old of Suva beat her younger sister Grace Yee in the International Table Tennis Federation-Oceania Olympic Games qualification tournament in Bendigo, Australia.
