Despite not featuring in any of the pool games for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians at the Rugby World Cup, flanker Vilive Miramira says he has learnt a lot from the experience so far.
Speaking to World Rugby, the former Nadi and Fijian Drua forward says there has been a lot to learn so far.
“I really learned a lot from the past few games,” Miramira said.
“I took out some positives and by watching the games it gives me a lot of experience; and also learning from our senior players, they’ve been leading us, taught us skills and really given me good experience.”
Miramira’s fortunes changed for the good when he was named in the Fijian Drua squad for the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season.
He made his debut for the Drua in round one of the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season, playing against the Waratahs.
Miramira started his career with the Nadi U20 in 2018. In 2019, he represented the Fijian U20 team, showcasing his skills at the national level.
The following year, in 2020, Miramira played for the Fijian Warriors and also represented Nadi in the Skipper Cup competition.
In 2021, he continued his involvement with the Nadi team. In 2018, he was recognised as the U20 Skipper Cup Player of the Match in the final against Namosi.
He was also part of the U20 Skipper Cup-winning team in the same year.
Furthermore, in 2020, he contributed to Nadi’s victory in the Farebrother Trophy challenge.
