Digicel Fiji has announced they will be providing exclusive live coverage for the Flying Fijians Test matches this year beginning with their second test against Georgia on July 5 on Sky Pacific and the DTV App.
This was confirmed by Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed yesterday in a media release, where he noted they were happy to be providing live coverage for the country.
“We’re excited to bring the passion and energy of the Flying Fijians directly to Fijian homes,” he said.
The Mick Byrne-coached side played their first test match against the Barbarians last weekend, where they went down 45-32 at the Twickenham Stadium in London.
“We are looking forward to our national team battle against Pacific nations, the might of the European Nations, and the historical match vs the All Blacks at 3.30pm on Saturday, 20 July.”
This live coverage also includes the Samoa home test in August.
“Rugby is a sport that unites our nation, and we’re proud to be the home of all Flying Fijians matches throughout the various international tours.”
There will also be 10 International Tests shown live next month with top tier nations in action including world champions South Africa, 6 Nations champs Ireland, 3rd world ranked New Zealand, and other top 10 world ranked sides Australia, England, Argentina, France, and Wales.
And there’s more blockbuster rugby on Sky Pacific with all 12 Tests from the 2024 Rugby Championship featuring New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and Argentina, starting over two weekends in August and then all four weekends in September.
Sky Pacific and DTV App will also broadcast the World Under 20 Rugby Championships that gets underway this weekend in South Africa.
