Today’s flea market, a first-ever in the Raiwaqa community, provided a platform for women and small businesses to showcase their products.

Food stalls, handicraft, pre-loved clothes, and plants were on sale and live band entertainment.

A musical talent quest, organised by RRArts club, added spice to the show.

Young contestants were backed by seasonal senior musicians who provided guidance for aspiring young raw talent.

Kalo Yabakivitu, winner from RRArt club’s last talent quest, blew the crowd away with her perfomance of Street Life ( Joe Sample and Randy Crawford).

Event coordinator Ema Dimila said it was a successful event.

“The flea market’s idea was to exercise an understanding between women in the community and agencies including government to provide support,” she said.
