The Rotary Club of Suva Charity Golf Day is set to be an exhilarating event with 144 players expected to compete in the competition tomorrow.

The president of the Rotary Club of Suva, Laisa Digitaki, shared that all 18 holes for the event have been generously sponsored by corporate organisations from across Fiji.

These sponsors have been dedicated to supporting the event year after year, with their contributions allowing them to field a team of four players on each hole.

“The competition will see teams of four players, one from the sponsor and another registered team, facing off against each other in an Ambrose golf format,” said Digitaki.

She adds this event is not just about showcasing golfing skills, but also about raising funds for a meaningful cause.

“Our club’s major project during my presidential year is the revitalisation of the Cardiac Unit Cath Lab and its staff working tools and spaces at CWM Hospital that we started in 2009.

“That’s where our hard working local and overseas volunteer doctors and nurses do heart stent procedures, pacemaker implantation, abiation, angiogram, angioplasty and other complicating congenital heart disease procedures.

For anyone thinking of participating in the golf day, president has a message, Tee off with purpose. Play with heart. Give with impact.”

“Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or joining us to enjoy Rotary’s service above self and giving vibes, your presence and support matters.

“Every swing, every putt and every show of support helps us drive meaningful impact in our local Fijian communities.”
