THE current Government must be voted back into power at the 2026 elections to ensure ongoing infrastructure projects across Fiji continues without interruption, says Infrastructure Minister Ro Filipe Tuisawau.

Ro Filipe said one needed to open their eyes to see the extensive work Government has done.

“In the last two to three years, we have been putting in place infrastructure developments which will address issues for the people, and not only this, but all over Fiji,” he said.

He said there were plans for basic infrastructure projects, framed within the Water Plan 2050.

“The Government is currently discussing financing options with the Finance Ministry and international partners,” Mr Tuisawau said.

“We are working on the review of the national infrastructure plan, which will include roads and a pipeline of projects for the next 10 to 30 years.”

He said it’s was important to plan and secure funding as it gives a road map and outlines the goal for an organisation to achieve in a year.

“This is what I mean by a responsible Government, putting in place plans, pipelines of projects, and financing plans.”

He called on voters to focus on improvements that affect their daily lives such as water, roads, and energy.

“We are doing a lot, and people need to see that.”

He urged Fijians to re-elect the Government to ensure these projects were completed and to bring about meaningful change across the country.
