THE Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) U18 rugby team has departed Fiji to proudly represent the country at the prestigious Sanix World Rugby Youth Tournament, which kicked off yesterday in Japan.
After months of preparation and overwhelming support from parents, guardians, old scholars, and various stakeholders, the team finally boarded their flight, full of excitement and determination. Their participation marks another proud chapter in the school’s rich rugby history, as they carry the hopes of not only RKS, but Fiji and the Pacific region onto the global stage.
Speaking on behalf of the school community, Head of School Ilaisa Tukana Waqalala expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed towards the team’s “Road to Sanix” journey.
He thanked all those who provided financial support, encouragement, and strength to help turn the boys’ dream into reality.
“Road to Sanix appeal, your support has been a bacon of hope and strength for our boys as they prepare to represent RKS, Fiji and the Pacific on the global stage.”
The Sanix World Rugby Youth Tournament brings together some of the best high school teams from around the world, offering a platform for young athletes to test themselves at the highest level of youth rugby.
The RKS U18 team is expected to feature strongly in the tournament, fueled by their trademark passion, resilience, and brotherhood.
