REVIEW of the investigation files of Australian national Jason Rigby by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is ongoing.

In a statement to this newspaper, the ODPP confirmed the police docket has been received.

“The ODPP had called for the police docket in relation to the death of Jason Rigby and have received the same,” the statement said.

“The file is now being reviewed in accordance with the ODPP’s standard procedures, and a decision will be made in due course.”

Rigby was reportedly found by his partner at his staff accommodation located near the resort in December 2024. A chef’s knife covered with Rigby’s blood was also found in the property.

Despite concerns by Rigby’s close family members about the nature of his death, the case was initially classified as a suicide before the reassessment.
