Fiji is set to come alive with rhythm and colour once again as the sixth annual Dance Festival kicks off from October 23 to 25 at the Suva Civic Centre.

This year’s event will feature performances by 17 dance companies, including two international groups, promising audiences a thrilling mix of artistic styles in one dynamic evening. From traditional pacific movements to contemporary and experimental expressions, the festival aims to celebrate the diversity of dance across cultures.

The 2025 festival is presented in partnership with the Fiji Arts Council and the Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture, and Pacific Studies, and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Suva. This collaboration highlights the festival’s commitment to cross-cultural dialogue and creative innovation.

At the press conference held yesterday, Dr Katrina Igglesden, Director of the Oceania Centre, emphasised the importance of the festival as a space for creativity and intercultural connection.

With its growing international profile and a commitment to celebrating movement in all its forms, DanceFest Fiji 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most vibrant cultural events of the year.
