RFMF 1FIR undergo first quarter training in Baghdad

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) First Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (1FIR), serving under the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), conducted their first quarter training exercise last month.

According to the RFMF, the exercise was a culmination of all training conducted during the quarter which included stand to procedures, riot control, mass casualty scenarios, reaction to threats such as IEDs and the employment of its rules of engagement (ROE).

Taskforce Papiloni is tasked with providing security to UN personnel, facilities and equipment within Baghdad.
