The Rewa rugby team has returned from a successful 16-day-tour of Lakeba with a rejuvenated energy that has them eager and ready for their 2021 Skipper Cup campaign.
After three days of travel from Lakeba, the team arrived aboard the Lomaiviti Princess VI at Narain Jetty this afternoon.
Rewa president Ro Macanawai Mataitini said the mission of helping the Lakeba Rugby Union had been a success and also in strengthening the bond between the vanua.
“In a historic first we achieved great success both on the field as well as off the field in helping with the rehabilitation due to the damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Yasa,” Mataitini said.
“We have come back with a lot takeaways which will boost our campaign towards this year’s 2021 Skipper Cup campaign.”
