IN for a win, according to Rewa FC head coach Priyant Manu, as the defending champions gear up for their final showdown against Labasa in the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series.

Following an impressive 1-0 victory in the first leg by the Delta Tigers, confidence is running high as Rewa FC aims to secure a draw or a one-point win to maintain their title defense.

Manu emphasised the team’s solid preparation, with training sessions beginning early in the week to ensure that the players are in peak condition for the crucial match.

He highlighted the importance of understanding Labasa’s playing style and tailoring their preparation accordingly.

“The boys have been preparing really well, we started our training from Monday with recovery and Tuesday we started our training,” said Manu.

“We know what to expect in Labasa, so we are preparing the team well.

“It comes down to this final leg; we have been focused from the first leg and heading to the final leg we will be more focused as the aim to defend the series.”

While the new players have integrated well into the squad, Manu acknowledged that there is still room for improvement and is hopeful that they will elevate their performance to secure the win.

Rewa will face Labasa at Subrail Park in Labasa at 1.30pm this Saturday.
