Extra Supermarket Rewa football team is determined for a win, in their crucial match against Flick Hygiene Lautoka in the Rooster chicken/Scoops Ice cream Battle of the Giants (BOG) semi-final at HFC Bank Stadium today at 2pm.

Team manager Peter Singh is confident that his team’s chemistry will be the key to securing a win in this important match.

Singh mentioned that the team is prepared well for this semi-final, with favourable weather in the week, allowing for solid training sessions and great team bonding.

“The team focus is on scoring goals and winning the tournament, with our Solomon Island import being a key player in our goal-scoring efforts,” said Singh.

Singh believes that the support of their fans will help push the team towards victory.

“We urge our fans to come in and cheer our team as the game will be fast paced and an entertaining semi-final,” he said.

“We respect Lautoka as they are a good team that will put up a fight.”

Singh said they were trying to balance the chemistry between the experienced and young players.

“The players are looking to get a taste of victory in the BOG tournament as it’s been sometime that we haven’t won the Fiji Fact and BOG trophy.”

Meanwhile the second semi-final between hosts Suva and Nadi will be at 4.30pm.
