Resorts to reopen

SOUTH Sea Cruises subsidiary Awesome Adventures Fiji was able to communicate with resorts for the first time in a few weeks.

Reservations manager Maria Penjueli said they had been able to gather information about the status of the resorts throughout Yasawa after Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.

“The Yasawa Flyer was able to call in at most of the resorts on Tuesday and has returned to Port Denarau to report that 15 properties have advised that within the week, they plan to reopen and welcome Awesome Adventures Fiji guests.”

She said there had been some damage in many areas but major damage were reported in neighbouring Bounty Island, Beachcomber Island, Nabua Lodge and Safe Landing Resort.

South Sea Island, Barefoot Kuata Island, Wayalailai Ecohaven, Naqalia Lodge, Octopus Resort, Viwa Island Resort, Paradise Cove, Mantaray Island Resort, Barefoot Manta Island, Botaira Beach Resort, Korovou Eco Resort, White Sandy Beach, Navutu Stars, Long Beach Resort, Bay of Plenty, Nanuya Island Resort, Gold Coast Resort, Coralview Island Resort, Coconut Beach Resort, Oarsman Bay Lodge and Blue Lagoon Beach Resort remain closed.
