LONG-TERM plans are in place to build a jetty on Treasure Island Resort to ease guest arrivals and departures from the island.
Chief engineer Ray Clayton said while this was a long-term goal, the resort had other developmental plans in the pipeline.
“This year, we will continue to improve the quality of the resort in regards to small things like the amenities and the rooms,” Mr Clayton said.
“There are also plans to have a small water park for children in the middle of the island but we are still in the planning stages for this.
“We will just work towards improving on what we have in the resort.”
Another long-term development prospect is the redevelopment of the Senikai Spa.
According to guest relations manager and food and beverage manager Irene Clayton, the resort has approximately 130 staff members since reopening in December 2013.
Mrs Clayton said they were looking to expand their family program as 50 per cent of guests were returnees and families.
