Resort rebranding

THE Vision Group officially rebranded its Denarau property to the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa last night, as it marks the resort’s addition to the prolific Hilton worldwide chain of 21 hotels in Australasia.

The 271-room hotel was formerly known as the Fiji Beach Resort and Spa managed by Hilton.

“As a 100 per cent Fijian-owned company, our desire is to contribute to the Fijian economy within the tourism sector and also contribute positively to the development of our people in the industry,” said group chairman Dilip Khatri.

“We are proud to have this endorsement and partnership with a global operator in Hilton.”

A statement from Vision Group also outlined the resort’s expansion this year to include facilities that would allow the property to cater for larger conferences, events and social gatherings.

“Further, the resort will be adding a number of additional accommodation rooms and a new exciting food and beverage outlet. Both developments are set to be finished later this year,” it stated.

Further plans include the opening of Hilton Worldwide’s second property outside Nadi in mid-2015, with the new Double-Tree Resort by Hilton Fiji at Sonaisali Island to boast 123 rooms.
