RESIDENTS who use plastic bags to dispose their rubbish will also be liable to a fine, says Lautoka Residents and Ratepayers Association Narayan Reddy.
He said municipal councils would find it difficult to identify every rate payer violating the ban.
“A lot of people use single use plastic bags,” he said.
“In some areas, several households will leave their rubbish in one spot for collection.
