THE Caritas Fiji Golf Day, a charitable division of the Catholic Church of Fiji, is set to take place at the esteemed Denarau Golf Club on November 2.

Caritas director, Arthur Groome, has noted that registrations are still open for the competition, offering a fantastic day of competition for all participants to enjoy.

“Themed “Christmas in November,” this year’s event guarantees a day filled with golf, camaraderie, and a spirit of giving back,” said Groome.

“Whether you are a seasoned golfer or new to the sport, this event provides a wonderful opportunity to have fun, make a positive impact, and spend a day with friends and colleagues.

“Proceeds from last year’s event have been utilized for the Church’s charitable efforts towards Schools, Community Groups, and other benefactors working directly with the Caritas Society.

The contributions were directed towards repair works at Saint Agnes Primary School in Samabula to enhance the school building’s standards and facilitate its use as an evacuation center during disasters in the Suva Nabua and Samabula East areas.

“We extend our gratitude to the public for their generosity and to those participating in the competition for their support, as it enables us to assist those in need both now and in the future.

“Also, we are thankful to our sponsors and donors for their contributions, allowing us to host this event and continue our mission of helping others.”
