PRIME Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has told Fijians that no government can complete all its reform programs within a single four-year term.
Speaking on public frustrations over the pace of reforms and ongoing political tensions ahead of the next general election, Mr Rabuka said meaningful change was a gradual process that required time and continuity.
“No government in power and in operation for four years can complete the reform programs they come up with,” he said.
He acknowledged that while some reforms had been completed, many were still ongoing.
“We have done some and we will be continuing with some.”
He said a future government might take up the remaining reforms after elections.
Mr Rabuka confirmed his Government would continue implementing programs introduced over the past three years as it worked towards the end of its term.
