Red House leads MGM’s medal tally

RED House leads the medal tally of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School inter-house meet after an intense first day of competition at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva yesterday.

As of 3.20pm yesterday, at the end of day one, Red House led with 21 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze medals.

Yellow is in second with 18 gold, 18 silver and 12 bronze.

Green House lines up in third with 13 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze while Blue House is in fourth place with 11 gold, six silver and four bronze medals.

The final day of competition today takes place at the school premises with the shot-put, discus and javelin events remaining.

There is a strong showing of competition in the boys and girls categories, as the school begins its preparations towards its defence of the girls division for this year’s Fiji Finals and the expression of interest towards a shot at claiming the boys’ title as well.
