Real estate apps for Fiji

A FIRST real estate mobile application for Fiji and the South Pacific was recently launched for iOS and Android gadgets.

Real estate portal, HousingParadise.com, launched apps to make it easier for people to search for real estate in Fiji and the South Pacific anytime and anywhere.

HousingParadise.com owner Rajeev Singh said the app was a significant milestone for them, as it was the first real estate app for Fiji and the Pacific region.

“We are always looking at different channels to help bring real estate agents and property hunters together so the HousingParadise.com app was always a big part of our mobile strategy,” Mr Singh said.

He said the HousingParadise.com app contained features, which allowed users to search for properties, view photos, perform currency conversions and bookmark favourite listings.

In addition, he said, social media and sharing functions had been built into the app to allow users to share property links and photos on Facebook, Twitter or via SMS to family and friends.

With the use of smartphones and the rollout of 4G networks by telecommunications companies in Fiji was on the rise, Mr Singh believed there would be a high uptake and use of the HousingParadise.com app.

“There is a big gap in the market for apps that are localised for Fiji and we wanted to be the first to fill the void by developing an app that was functional and provided the tools property hunters required on the go.

“A good example of this is how people can call or send an email enquiry to the listing agent for any property directly from the app” he said.

The app is available for download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store and was compatible with the later versions of the Android and iOS operating systems.

“This app is our way of giving back to Fiji and the South Pacific community,” Mr Singh said.
