FIJI’S tourism market is primed for expansion with the recent announcement that a global brand making its entry into the Mamanuca Group later this year has been named the world’s Top Hotel Brand by the world renown Travel + Leisure magazine.
After polling 300,000 people, Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas was named the Top Hotel Brand by the magazine’s annual survey — World’s Best — in its August issue.
The resort chain’s CEO, Neil Jacobs, said they were excited about receiving the prestigious award from readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.
“Everyone at Six Senses could not be more proud, and deeply appreciative of the guests who took the time to vote,” he said.
The Six Senses brand is built on incredible locations, sustainable practices and a deep commitment to pioneering wellness.
Mr Jacobs credits the first win to these strengths along with a personalised and consistent approach to service.
“Across all of our 11 properties worldwide, day in and day out, our dedicated hosts make sure each stay is unique and memorable ensuring that our guests leave in a better place than when they arrived.
“Our owners and travel partners are also key contributors in delivering this winning guest experience.”
Six Senses has expanded its reach across the world with several new openings this year including Fiji.
According to the resort, Six Senses Fiji on Malolo Island will feature 26 spacious resort pool villas plus three, four and five bedrooms with pool residences.
Other openings will be in Bhutan, Bali, Cambodia and Turkey and development of the first urban property in New York’s art district opening in 2019.
Travel + Leisure magazine is considered the leading travel authority in the world of publishing. The magazine holds an annual global survey of the World’s Best that takes place from November to March.
