Team Razak Boys Two won the Ba Ambrose Golf tournament held over the weekend at the FSC Ba Golf Club.
The 4-man Ambrose event was sponsored by Mr. Mahendra Gopal under his company Prestige Home Care of Toronto, Canada.
Team Razak Boys 1 came second, while Team Magic Breakers finished third. Team Western Solar and Team Jyoti Rentals completed the top five.
The Longest Drive went to Kavitesh Sharma, while the NTPs were won by Asish Chand, Jenny Sharma, and Sajid Khan.
Tournament director Rohit Chandra thanked Mr. Gopal for his continued support.
“We’re very thankful to Gopal and his family for always supporting Ba Golf Club.
“The tournament was a great success with more than 60 players taking part,” Chandra said.
Gopal, who also sponsored three teams and provided free drinks, said he was happy with the event and promised two major tournaments next weekend.
Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad, who was chief guest, said it was good to see sports bringing people together.
“Sports brings people together. It creates a sense of camaraderie, togetherness, and teamwork.
“It’s also important for our health, especially as we continue to face the growing challenge of non-communicable diseases in Fiji,” Prasad said.
