Salesi Rayasi played his 50th game for the Hurricanes last Saturday.
His achievement is a testament to Fijian players playing in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Rayasi, who can play wing and fullback, is eligible to be selected in the FIJI Water Flying Fijians.
After being in the Test wilderness and competitive 7s rugby, Rayasi, the son of former Flying Fijians player Filipe, earned a start for the Hurricanes in the quarter-final 47-20 win in Wellington against the Melbourne Rebels last Saturday.
“Fifty games is a huge achievement for me. Any chance to start is a privilege,” Rayasi told RugbyPass.
Rayasi broke into the All Blacks 7s in 2018.
He has been playing Super Rugby since. He is eligible to play for the Flying Fijians.
Another player who can join the Flying Fijians setup should he be overlooked by the All Blacks is Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens.
He played for the Highlanders as an outside back.
