Inside centre Kalaveti Ravouvou departed for England yesterday to join his new club, Bristol Bears in the Gallagher Premiership.
The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua star sealed a one-year deal with the Bears in February. He helped the Drua reach its first-ever Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific quarter-final in just its second season.
The 25-year-old made his international debut for the Flying Fijians in the Pacific Nations Cup in August, featured in the Autumn International Series, scoring against Ireland in Dublin and was part of the 2023 Rugby World Cup squad.
He was supposed to leave for Bristol straight after the world cup, however, Bears director of rugby Pat Lam stated earlier this month that the Fijian star will be off contract from the Drua on November 1 and will join them then.
Lam also wanted to give time to the Nadroumai villager from Nadroga to get all his stuff sorted before joining the Bristol Bears.
Ravouravou will play alongside world-class centre Virimi Vakatawa.
